You may have already seen a lot of methods in cleaning ovens or stovetops, but not much of how to deep clean a gas burner. In this short tutorial by twisty tadka on YouTube, she’ll show you the fastest and most effective way of cleaning and restoring a gas burner. You also don’t need much material or any special tool to execute this method. Most of what you’ll need may already be available in your cupboard or your kitchen sink. So grab your cleaning materials and gas burners, then follow the instructions below, and you’ll enjoy a shiny gas burner in no time!

Materials:

  • Hot boiling water
  • Half of 1 lemon
  • 1 packet of Eno
  • Hard sponge
  • Dish soap

Directions:

Step 1

Remove your gas burner and it in a small bowl where it would fit, then pour hot boiling water over it until it’s completely submerged. Slice 1 lemon, then use only half of it and squeeze it over the gas burner. Open 1 packet of Eno, then slowly pour it onto the bowl, wait for the bubble to die down in between adding, add all the contents of the packet.

Step 2

After leaving it for 2 hours, remove the gas burner from the liquid solution, then transfer it to a shallow plate. Start rubbing it with a dish soap using a hard sponge, you’ll see the dirt is now easier to remove. Scrub all over the burner including the inside. Once done scrubbing, wash/ rinse it with clean water, and dry with a cloth or rag.
