In a pot with boiling water, cook the spaghetti pasta. Next, wash the cherry tomatoes, divide them in half, then cut the half in half. Place them in a bowl. Next, slice four cloves of garlic thinly. After this, turn on the heat of the stove at about medium-low. Put regular olive oil in a pan, then cooked the sliced cloves of garlic on medium-low heat. When the garlic started to turn golden, add 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper. Mix it. After the pepper cooks enough, add the cherry tomatoes and set the heat to medium, then stir them around. Take a bit of pasta water and pour it into the tomatoes. Turn the heat to medium-high at this point.

Add 1 tsp kosher salt to the tomatoes, mix them around, then put the cooked pasta. Mix the pasta and tomatoes well. (Taste the pasta and add more salt if needed.) After cooking the pasta, remove it from the stove, then add the basil leaves. Give it a good mix, then transfer it to a plate. Pour a couple of tbsp of extra virgin oil on top.
