One way to beat the scorching summer heat is by eating cold desserts that are sure to give you the chills! Just like this classic childhood favorite slushies by Emma’s Goodies on YouTube! Unlike other slushy recipes that are a lot quicker to make but are comparably more watery, this slushy recipe is more fruity, yummy, and has a bolder taste. Plus, this recipe includes a homemade simple sugar syrup too!
Combinations you can make
Step 1
The first thing you have to prepare is simple syrup. Place a saucepan on a stove over medium heat, then add the water, sugar, and salt, and stir them together continuously as you bring it to a simmer and until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove it from the heat, then make sure to let it cool completely while you’re preparing the fruit. Choose a fruit combination above, then start peeling the skin off your fruit if needed, and cut it into small pieces.

Step 2
Place the sliced fruit in a blender together with the simple syrup (the amount depends on the fruit that you chose or to your taste), then blend them together until nice and smooth. Strain the fruit in a freezer-safe bowl or container, then cover it with a plastic wrap, and place it in the refrigerator. Let it freezer for about 3 hours, then stir it with a fork to fluff it up, pour in a serving cup and enjoy! If you want to eat it the next day or week, you can freeze it longer but make sure to give it an extra fluff before freezing.
