Step 1
In a large bowl, add the milk, eggs, egg yolk, sugar, and instant yeast, then whisk them together until combined, add the bread flour and salt, and continue to mix until dough forms. Add the butter and fold it in until fully absorbed, then knead, slap, and fold for about 7 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
Step 2
Place it in a bowl then coat it with oil, and set it aside covered for about 1 hour or until double in size. Punch the dough to degas, then transfer it to a floured counter, and divide it into 12 pieces equally. Shape each piece into a ball, then cover them, and let them rest for about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Roll each dough ball and brush them with softened butter on top, then place some raisins, and fold it over two times before lightly rolling as shown in the video. Pinch the edges to seal, then grease an 8×10-inch baking dish with butter or oil, and place the rolled dough in it.
Step 4
Cover the baking dish for about 25 to 30 minutes, then preheat your oven to 350°F for about 15 minutes, and once ready, brush the top of each dough roll with eggwash. Place them in the preheated oven, then let them bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly golden, and brush them with more butter on top. Serve and enjoy!
