At first, I thought making this bread would be complicated, but when I watched the video tutorial, I was surprised to know that it was super easy, and even beginners can give it a try. I’m sure that both kids and adults alike will enjoy eating this bread, even those who hate raisins might change their minds.
Step 1
In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and egg, then mix everything by hand until combined, pour in half of the lukewarm milk. Continue to mix until the dough comes together, then pour in the remaining milk, and keep mixing until incorporated. Add the oil, then knead the dough for about 7 to 10 minutes or until smooth, and transfer the dough to a large bowl making sure to rub it with more oil until coated. Cover the bowl with plastic, then let it rest for about 60 to 90 minutes.

Step 2
After an hour or so, remove the plastic, then lightly knead the dough, and transfer it to a flat surface. Flatten the dough, then sprinkle the raisins, and press them down the dough. Fold the edges over to the center until closed, then knead the dough, and divide into 3 evenly. Get one part of the dough, then press it down, and flatten it with a rolling pin. Add 2 tablespoons of raisins over it, then roll it over from the short edge, and roll it over until long.
Step 3
Repeat the same steps for the remaining 2 parts of the dough, then pinch together one end of each dough log, and braid them together. Transfer the braided dough to a 7-inch pan lined with parchment paper at the bottom and greased generously, then set it aside, and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes. Place it in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 20 to 30 minutes, then grease the top with butter while still hot, and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it cool down completely, then unmold, and slice. Serve and enjoy!
