Materials:

Dough

  • 2½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ cups of whole milk
  • 5 tbsp of melted butter
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 2¼ tsp of instant yeast
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ½ cup of warm milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 6 ounces or 12 tbsp of butter, softened

Filling

  • ½ cup of dark sugar
  • 4 tbsp of cinnamon
  • A few peach slices

Frosting

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese
  • ½ cup of powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup of evaporated milk
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add the warm milk, melted butter, and sugar, then lightly stir them all together to combine, add the yeast, and stir them consistently for about 2 minutes to activate the yeast. In a separate bowl, sift the flour and add the salt, then give them a good whisk until combined, and then gradually add it to the wet mixture while whisking continuously until incorporated and combined. Keep on stirring for about 5 minutes until the dough becomes sticky and firm, then transfer it to a large well-greased bowl, and cover it with plastic or cloth.

Step 2

Set it aside in a dark warm place and allow it to proof for about 1 to 1½ hours or until it doubles in size, then transfer it to a well-floured counter, knead, and spread it out to the desired size. Spread the butter all over the top, then in another mixing bowl, add the dark brown sugar and cinnamon, and stir them all together to combine. Sprinkle it over the dough, then spread the peaches cut into bite-sized pieces evenly over the dough, and then start rolling and tucking as shown in the video.

Step 3

Cut the rolls, then brush the baking dish with a generous amount of butter, and place the rolls all over the dish. Cover the baking dish and set it aside, then let it proof for about 1 more hour, and then bake it in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 18 to 20 minutes. In a separate bowl, add the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and evaporated milk, then whisk them all together until combined and incorporated, add the vanilla extract, and continue to whisk until combined. Once smooth, drizzle it all over the freshly baked rolls, then serve, and enjoy!
