Flatbread can be served deliciously in different ways and I can eat a lot of it in one sitting. This is why I always make sure to keep enough ingredients at home so that I can have freshly cooked flatbread whenever I want. One of my go-to recipes when it comes to flatbread is this one by Helly’s Simple Recipe on YouTube which is super easy and simple to follow. If you also want to give it a try, then go ahead and learn this now.

Step 1
In a large bowl, add the water, active dry yeast, and white sugar, then stir them all together, add the flour and salt, and continue to mix and fold until dough forms. Add the oil, then knead the dough until absorbed and smooth, then shape it into a ball, cover the dough, and allow it to rise until double in size. Punch the dough to degas, then transfer it to a counter, and smoothen it out. Flatten the dough a bit, then divide it into 4 pieces evenly, and roll each into a ball smoothly.

Step 2
Cover them and allow them to rest for about 15 minutes, then transfer them to a lightly floured counter, and flatten each dough into about 7 inches in diameter. Place a pan on a stove over medium heat, then cook the bread until it starts to bubble and nicely brown, and then flip it over. Cook the other side for a few minutes or until it starts swelling as shown in the video, then continue to cook it until the swelling dies down, and transfer it to a serving plate. Cook the rest of the bread, then brush them with oil or butter at the top, and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve and enjoy!
