This easy egg cloud cake recipe is a recent discovery that I learned from 쿠킹하루 Cooking Haru 🙂. I was so surprised at how fluffy and good this turned out. You only need 5 ingredients for this recipe. I am sure you already have salt, sugar, and vegetable oil at home – that means you only need eggs and butter! Try this with honey – I am sure this will be your next favorite snack. Separate the yolks and the whites of 5 eggs. Add a little bit of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar to the yolks and beat until well mixed.
Meringue the egg whites. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon of sugar per 1 egg. If you have 5 eggs, you need about 2.5 tablespoons of sugar. Add a bit of salt to the egg whites and whisk using a hand mixer while slowly adding the sugar.

Place a pan over low heat and spread vegetable oil. Pour the egg yolk and cook. When it’s lightly cooked, slightly lift the yolk and add butter underneath, continue to cook until it’s set.
Spread whipped egg whites on top of the egg yolks on the pan and flatten it with a spatula. Cover it with a lid and cook for 5 minutes over low heat. It will expand as it cooks and the edges will be brown.
Once done cooking, carefully remove from the pan using two spatulas and place on a plate. Slice it in half then place them on top of each other.
For the sauce, you can choose ketchup, pork cutlet sauce, spicy sauce, or cheese. If you want something sweet, you can add honey or maple syrup. Slice into small pieces then serve. Enjoy!
