Step 1
In a large bowl, add the milk, sugar, and yeast, then give them a good mix, and set it aside to sit for about 7 minutes. After a few minutes, add the egg, oil, flour, and salt, then give them a good mix until dough forms, and then knead it for about 8 to 10 minutes.
Step 2
Cover the bowl, then set it aside, and let the dough rise for about 90 minutes or until double in size. Transfer the dough to a well-floured counter, then divide it into 6 pieces evenly, and roll out each piece into an 8×4-inch rectangle.
Step 3
Spread some of the softened butter over the dough, then create 10 to 11 lengthwise cuts leaving both ends of each cut intact, and roll it tightly and seal the edges together as demonstrated in the video.
Step 4
Place the bread pieces on a baking sheet, then decorate them with almonds and sprinkles, and cover them with a towel. Set them aside and let them rise again for about 30 minutes, then preheat your oven to 390°F while waiting for the bread to get ready.
Step 5
After half an hour, place the bread in the oven, then allow them to bake for about 20 minutes or until lightly golden brown on the edges, and then brush them with honey if desired. Serve and enjoy!
