Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease your 13×9 inch pan with butter. Next, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 cups of sugar, and 1/4 tsp salt to a large bowl. Whisk it lightly, then add 1 & 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows. After this, in a pan, add 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, 1 cup of Dr. Pepper, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, and 1/4 cup of cocoa powder. Bring it to a boil while stirring frequently. Pour the Dr. Pepper mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix it well, then set it aside. Next, add 1 tsp of baking soda to a mixing jug with 1/2 cup of buttermilk. Mix well. Pour this mixture into the cake batter. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 eggs. Mix it well to combine.

Pour the cake batter into the greased pan and spread it out evenly. Place it in the preheated oven at 350 degrees F and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Now, while it’s baking, make the frosting. Add 4 cups of confectioner’s sugar to a medium bowl and set it aside. Next, in a pan, add 3/4 cup of unsalted butter, 5 tbsp cocoa powder, and 1/3 cup of Dr. Pepper. Mix it and bring it to a boil. Pour this over the confectioner’s sugar and whisk it using a handheld mixer. After whisking, add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and continue whisking. After 40 minutes, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes, then pour the warm frosting over the cake. Spread it out nicely. Let the frosting set up before serving.
