Potato and cheese really taste good together and any recipe that involves them mostly never fails to satisfy cravings. So, if you’re looking for a recipe to try that is both easy and quick but at the same time very delicious, then this loaded skillet by How Tasty on YouTube is definitely for you!
Step 1
Peel off the skin of each cleaned potato, then cut them into medium to large cube pieces and set them aside. Place a large deep pan on a stove over medium-low heat, then add the olive oil and butter, and put the cubed potatoes. Sprinkle some salt, then give them a good toss, and add ½ tbsp of water before covering the pan with the lid. Let the potatoes cook for about 20 minutes or until fork tender making sure to stir every now and then. While waiting for the potatoes to cook, fry the sliced bacon in a separate skillet pan until nice and crispy, and set them aside leaving the rendered grease in the pan.

Step 2
In the same pan, cook the onions over medium-low heat with the lid on for about 15 minutes or until translucent, then turn the heat off, and add the cooked potatoes and 2/3 of the crispy bacon into the onions. Season them with black pepper, then give them a good mix until well combined, and add all the cheeses over the top. Put the skillet pan in a preheated oven at 220°C or 420°F for about 7 minutes or until the cheeses are melted and golden. Serve while still hot and serve!
