Easy DIY Stenciled Drapes

Materials for Stenciled Drapes:

• 6×9 ft drop cloth
• Oversized wall stencil
• Chalk
• Paint
• Stencil brush
• Fabric glue
• Wooden rod

How to Make Stenciled Drapes:

Step 1

Lay down your drop cloth on a flat surface, then smooth it out, and fold the top edge over to the back to create a loop of the wooden rod.

Step 2

Stitch the edge of the folded fabric to secure it in place, then lay your stencil all the way to the end, and mark the edge of the stencil with chalk so you know where to put the next one later.

Step 3

Place some weights on the edges of the stencil to prevent it from moving out of place while painting, and then dip your stencil brush in the paint.

Step 4

Dab the brush to the stencil in an up-and-down motion until nicely covered, then carefully lift the stencil, and move on the next one.

Step 5

Keep repeating the process in a pattern until the entire cloth is filled with the shape, then let the paint dry completely, and hang your drapes using the wooden rod.
