Step 1

Print the pattern and tape them together, then cut out the shape, and trace the template onto the doormat with a permanent marker. Pin the template all over, then cut the doormat following the shape of the template, and remove the pieces alternately as shown in the video.

Step 2

Paint the spaces left in between the template, then let it dry completely, remove the template pieces, and replace them with the previous alternating set. Paint the next set of colors, then let dry completely, and touch up the edges that needed more paint.
