You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have beautiful decorations in your garden. Sometimes all you need is a creative tutorial like this one by Patti J. Good on YouTube! These adorable dogs are made using only terra cotta pots and some basic craft materials.
Step 1
Attach the 2 large pots to each other by applying some adhesive around the rim of their bottom, then hot glue in the middle. Turn them to their side, then mark a half-inch horizontal line about an inch down from the rim of the pot, then apply adhesive around the bottom rim of 2 small pots and hot glue in the middle, and attach them on each side of the half-inch line for the arms of the dog. Repeat the same process for the legs of the dog, then get the saucer, and attach it to the end of the pot right where the arms are located to close the pot. Apply adhesive and hot glue around the inner rim of a medium pot, then insert the bottom of a large pot to form the head of the dog.

Step 2
Use the method above to attach the rest of the small pots underneath the arms and legs. Apply some Loctite underneath the head of the dog, then attach it on top of the body making sure it’s the side of the body where the end is closed. Grab the wooden doll head or a large wooden bead with a flat end, then apply adhesive and glue, and attach it to the end of the dog’s head to create the nose. Coat the whole piece with spray paint, then use chalk paint for the spots and other details of the face. Now, attach the large googly eyes on the head of the dog, then either Cricut the ears and tail pattern or print, trace, and cut. Attach the ears on each side of the head, then place a piece of wire in between the two tail pieces before attaching it to the bottom part of the dog’s body. You can also add a dog tag if you want.
