Ingredients for Crockpot Beef Stew:

  • 1 pound of stew meat, cubed
  • ¼ cup of flour
  • 1 tbsp of salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4-6 medium red potatoes, diced
  • 2 stalks of celery, diced
  • 4 carrots, diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp of minced garlic
  • 2 cups of beef broth
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 can of sweet peas, drained

How to Make Crockpot Beef Stew:

Step 1

In a Ziploc bag, add the flour, salt, and pepper, then give them a good shake until well coated, and set them aside. Place a large skillet on a stove over medium-high heat, then add the olive oil, and heat it before adding the coated beef.

Step 2

Sear the meat on both sides, then turn off the heat, and transfer the cooked meat to the bottom of a crockpot. Add in the potatoes, carrots, celery, and onion, then add the minced garlic, and season them with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3

Add the peas, beef broth, tomato sauce, and bay leaf, then give them a good mix to combine, and cover the crockpot with the lid. Allow it to cook on a low setting for about 10 to 12 hours or on a high setting for 6 to 7 hours, then taste and adjust the seasonings if needed, and discard the bay leaf. Serve and enjoy!
