Ingredients:

Fried Banana Chips

  • 3 green bananas
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder, optional
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp water

Baked Banana Chips

  • 3 green bananas
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder, optional
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp cooking oil

Directions:

Fried Banana Chips

Cut each end of the bananas, then cut off the skin smoothly, slice them thinly, and transfer about half of a banana immediately to a saucepan with hot oil. In a small bowl, mix together the turmeric powder, salt, and water until uniform and well combined, then add a tablespoon over the bananas, and stir them around. Let them cook until the center of each banana slice is crispy, then remove immediately before they turn brown, and transfer them to a bowl lined with paper towels to drain off excess oil. Fry the rest of the batches of sliced bananas, then serve, and enjoy!

Toss them together until all banana slices are well coated, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer, and bake them in the preheated oven at 170° or 338°F for about 17 to 20 minutes until nice and crispy.
