Easy Pea Salad Ingredients

  • 4 cups of frozen green peas
  • 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of cooked crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 medium red onion (thinly sliced or diced)
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

 

How to Make Pea Salad At Home

Step 1:

Start by placing the peas in a microwave safe bowl, then microwave in 90 second increments. Stir in between until they are barely thawed.

Step 2:

Cut the cheddar cheese into small cubes or you can shred it. Add the cheese into the peas, followed by the crumbled bacon and red onion. Stir until well combined.

Step 3:

Add the sour cream, mayo, apple cider vinegar, dried dill, salt, and pepper into the cheese and peas mixture. Mix until well combined. Make a taste test and add more salt and pepper if needed.
