Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of angels food cake or sponge cake, cubed
  • 4 cups of vanilla pudding
  • 4 cups of fresh berries fresh, different kinds
  • 4 cups of whipped cream

Vanilla pudding

  • 5 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 4 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • 1½ cups of white chocolate chips

Whipped cream

  • 3 cups of heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup of powdered sugar

Directions:

Step 1

Place a medium-sized saucepan on a stove over low heat, then place the butter and let it melt completely before adding the cornstarch. Whisk them together until well combined, then let them cook for 1 minute. Add the heavy cream and sugar, then give them a good whisk. Slowly increase the to medium-high while stirring continuously. After the cream has thickened and starts simmering, remove the pan from the heat, then stir in the white chocolate chips, and continue stirring until completely melted. Cover it well with a plastic wrap then place it in the refrigerator and let cool until it has completely set or for at least an hour.

Step 2

To make the whipped cream, simply combine the heavy cream and powdered sugar in a chilled bowl, then whip them together until stiff peaks form. After slicing the sponge cake into cubes, start layering the trifle. Add in about 3 cups of cubed sponge cake to the bottom of the trifle dish, then scoop about 2 cups of the vanilla pudding mixture, then spread it on top nice and smooth. Scoop and add about 2 cups of berries, then top it with 2 cups of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat the layering process until you’ve used up all the ingredients, then place a few whole berries on top as garnish. Serve and enjoy!
