Magnolia Bakery’s pastries and other desserts are some of my favorite comfort foods, and I would always order from their menu whenever I get the chance. Recently, I found this recipe by CookingWithHua on YouTube, and I was immediately excited, I knew I had to give it a try! This video tutorial was super easy to follow and the banana pudding was just as good as the original, this is definitely a recipe that I will make more often from now on.

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 bananas, sliced
  • 1½ cup of ice cold water
  • (14-ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 box of Nilla cookies
  • 1 package of instant vanilla pudding

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl or measuring cup, add the ice-cold water and condensed milk, then whisk them together until well combined, add the instant vanilla pudding, and continue to whisk them until incorporated and well combined. Place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours, then when ready whip the heavy whipping cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, and add in the chilled pudding mixture.

Step 2

Continue to blend them together until smooth and combined, then spread a layer of the cream mixture to the bottom of a tray, bowl, or serving dish, and add a layer of Nilla cookies and sliced bananas on top. Repeat the layers until all cream, cookies, and bananas are used, then cover it with plastic wrap, and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 12 hours up to overnight. Serve and enjoy!
