I love baking just as much as I love eating, and whenever I have time, I always make sure to bake my own bread or cake, then serve it with my favorite beverage. One of my go-to recipes when it comes to cake is this one by Apron on YouTube, this classic marble cake is very easy to make, quick to prepare, and requires only 8 simple ingredients. So if you’re craving for a fluffy, spongy, light, and very delicious cake, then make sure to try this recipe out, and you’ll love it for sure.
Ingredients:
- 4 whole eggs
- ½ cup of sugar
- 2/3 cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of cake flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- ¼ tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp of hot water
Directions:
Step 1
Place the eggs in the bowl of a stand mixer, then beat them over high speed until light and fluffy, add the butter, and continue to beat until incorporated. Sift over the cake flour, baking powder, and salt, then beat them together until smooth and combined. In a separate bowl, add the cocoa powder and hot water, then give them a good mix until well combined and uniform, and stir in ¼ of the batter to the chocolate until incorporated.

Step 2
Add dollops of the batter alternately with the chocolate batter to the cake pan as shown in the video, then tap the pan on the counter a few times, and swirl the top using a toothpick. Place it in the middle rack of a preheated oven at 180°C or 350°F to bake for about 45 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean, then once done baking, allow it to cool down completely, and unmold it. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
