Block Print

  • Fabric A – 1 square @ 4½”
  • Fabric B – 2 rectangles @ 2½” x 8½”
  • Fabric C – 8 squares @ 2½”

Accent Print

  • Fabric D – square @ 10″
  • Fabric E – 1 square @ 3½”
  • Fabric F – 2 rectangles @ 2½” x 4½”

Background Fabric

  • Fabric G – 1 square @ 6½”
  • Fabric H – 1 rectangle @ 2½” x 8½”
  • Fabric I – 1 rectangle @ 2½” x 6½”
  • Fabric J – 4 rectangles @ 2½” x 4½”
  • Fabric K – 8 squares @ 2½”
  • Fabric L – 9 squares @ 2½”

Directions:

Step 1

Grab the fabric C squares, then a diagonal line at the wrong side from corner to corner, and then layer a fabric C square on one end of a fabric J rectangle with their right sides together. Sew along the marked line, then trim off the excess fabric about ¼ inch from the seam, press the seams open, and repeat the same process on the opposite end of the fabric. Grab the fabric E square, then draw a diagonal line on the wrong side, and lay it on the bottom right corner of the fabric A square with their right sides facing. Sew along the marked lines, trim, and press. Get the fabric K squares, then draw a diagonal line on the wrong side, and lay it on the top end of a fabric F rectangle with their right sides together.

Step 2

Sew along the marked lines, then trim off the excess, and press nicely, repeat the same process on the bottom end. Lay the fabric K square on the top end of a fabric B rectangle, then sew along the marked line, and trim off the excess ¼ inch away from the seam. Assemble and sew the units together, then sub-cut the fabric D square on the bias into strips as indicated in the pattern guide, and create ½-inch bias tape from the fabric D bias strips. Position the fabric strips, then applique them, and you’re done!
