So I didn’t waste time and went ahead to try making it, and the result did not disappoint. The cookies turned out so good and tasty, and my family enjoyed eating them so much that I had to make them again the next day!
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. then whisk everything until uniform, and set them aside. In a separate bowl, add the butter, then beat it for about 1 to 2 minutes until creamy, add the powdered sugar, and continue to beat until combined.
Step 2
Add the vegetable oil and vanilla extract, then keep beating to incorporate, and add the flour mix. Fold them together with a rubber spatula to combine, then mix it by hand until dough, and transfer it to a clean work surface. Roll the dough into a smooth ball, then cut it in half evenly, and place one half in a large bowl.

Step 3
In that bowl, sift over the cocoa powder, then add the melted chocolate, and mix them well by hand until fully combined. Knead it on a flat surface until smooth, then cut it into 4 parts evenly, and roll each into a 1cm thick log. Cut each log into small pieces and roll them into 1cm balls, then repeat the same with the plain dough.
Step 4
Get 3 each of chocolate and plain dough, then arrange them into a circle alternately, and squeeze them tighter to the center. Roll them in your hands until swirls form and slightly flat. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or Silpat, then bake them in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 to 22 minutes, and serve. Enjoy!
