Easy Chocolate Orange Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1½ cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- ½ tsp of baking powder
- ½ tsp of salt
- 1 cup of granulated white sugar
- ½ cup of milk
- 1/3 cup of fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp of honey
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup of melted butter
- Zest of 1 orange
- ½ cup of peeled almonds, chopped into small-medium chunks
Directions:
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, sift over the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar, then mix them all together until uniform and well combined. Add the milk, honey, orange juice, eggs, melted butter, and orange zest, then continue to mix them together over low speed until well combined, and then mix in the chopped almonds until incorporated.

Step 2
Spoon and transfer the batter into the muffin pan lined with muffin cups, then bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C or 350°F for about 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean. Once done baking, let them cool down on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes, then garnish with some orange zest or glazed orange slices, serve, and enjoy!
