This recipe is easy to make and only requires 8 ingredients. You only need flour, cocoa powder, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, salt, and vanilla essence. To get the traditional look, use a madeleine pan with shell-shaped carvings.

Sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt directly into a large bowl. Mix then set aside.
In a different bowl, add the eggs, sugar, vanilla essence, and honey. Whisk until the sugar dissolves.
Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture in batches, and fold until well mixed. Add the melted butter and mix until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for an hour.
Grease the madeleine pan with butter. Transfer the batter to a piping bag. Squeeze the batter into the greased pan.
Bake in a 356F preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Once done, let it sit for 5 minutes in the pan. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely. Serve and enjoy!
