Crinkle cookies or simply crinkles are one of my ultimate favorite pastries ever! I could eat it all day and never get tired of it, I love how the cookie itself is chocolatey and a bit bitter while its outer coating balances the flavor with its sweetness, I love eating it after a savory meal or for snack time along with hot coffee or cold drinks. This is an addicting treat that you can also make and give as a gift.

This easy dessert idea is also a good treat to include in your holiday or party menu! But what makes this particular recipe best among the rest is its twist. Step 1
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the butter and sugar, then beat them together until creamy and combined, and then add the eggs one at a time while beating continuously until incorporated. Add the vanilla extract, then stir to combine, and set it aside.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then give them a good whisk to combine, and gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Make sure to mix well in between each addition until well combined, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and put it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 3
Once ready, preheat your oven to 350°F, then line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and start making dough balls. Scoop out 1½ tablespoons of dough, then roll it into a smooth ball, and roll it over the powdered sugar until coated. Place the coated cookie ball on the prepared baking sheet, then continue to roll the remaining cookie balls, and make sure to space them evenly.
Step 4
Place the baking sheet of cookies in the oven, then allow them to bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, and once done baking place them on the counter. While still fresh out of the oven, gently press down a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie, then allow them to cool down completely, and serve. Enjoy!
