I love making cakes for special occasions and even on an ordinary day, but since there are parties and holidays that are approaching, it’s always a must in the kitchen to have some chocolate frosting ready, and my go-to recipe is this easy, quick, and simple version by Emma’s Goodies on YouTube that you can make in just 10 minutes! This recipe only requires 6 easy ingredients and is fail-proof, plus, I love how it doesn’t incorporate too much butter. If you also want to learn this chocolate frosting recipe, then proceed to read down below for the full instructions, and watch her video tutorial on YouTube as well.
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder, and mix them together using a spatula until well combined and incorporated. Next, add the butter and boiling water, then beat them together with a hand mixer or you can do this in a stand mixer, and continue beating until smooth.

Step 2
Add the chocolate to a microwave-safe bowl, then melt the chocolate for a few minutes making sure to stop every 30 seconds to stir. Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, add it to the sugar and cocoa mixture, then continue beating them together until incorporated and uniform. Place the chocolate frosting in the refrigerator, and let it chill for about 30 minutes before using it.
