What’s also great about this recipe idea is that you can make this using leftover ingredients that you may have in your kitchen. It’s a very inexpensive dish that you can make even at the last minute, and you can also adjust the seasoning to taste, especially if you love spicy foods.

Ingredients for Chicken Stir-Fry:

  • 3 chicken breast fillets, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp of cornstarch
  • A pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of sugar snap or snow peas
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, de-seeded and sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, de-seeded and sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced
  • 4 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp of Chinese rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp of sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup
  • 1 bunch of spring onions, chopped
  • 1 small red chili, de-seeded and sliced

How to Make Chicken Stir-Fry in 20 Minutes:

Step 1

Place the chicken on a plate, then sprinkle the cornstarch, salt, and pepper, and toss them until evenly coated. Place a wok on a stove over high heat, then add the oil, and heat it until very hot.

Step 2

Add in the chicken, then give them a good stir, and fry them for about 5 to 6 minutes while mixing occasionally until lightly browned.

Step 3

Add in the peas and peppers, then continue to stir fry for an additional 2 minutes, and then add in the garlic, soy sauce, Chinese rice vinegar, brown sugar, sweet chili sauce, and tomato ketchup.

Step 4

Give them a good toss and continue to cook over high heat until heated through, then check the doneness of the chicken, and once the inside is no longer pink, add in the chopped spring onions and chili.

Step 5

Continue to stir to combine, then heat for another minute until hot, and then turn off the heat. Serve with rice or noodles and enjoy!
