After a long and tiring day, I need warm and delicious food to lift my mood and make me feel better. One of my favorite go-to recipes of all time is this chicken and dumpling casserole by Simply Sara Kitchen on YouTube!
Step 1
First, prepare your Bisquick mix, then add 2 cups of whole milk to it, and whisk them together until well combined. Set it aside. Next, prepare your chicken broth and add about 1 to 2 teaspoons of chicken bouillon to it as well as 1 can of cream of chicken soup, then stir them together until incorporated, and set aside. Get your baking dish, then pour the melted butter at the bottom, add the shredded chicken on top, and spread them out in a single layer evenly. Season it with pepper, ground sage, and poultry seasoning.

Step 2
Next, pour the prepared Bisquick mixture all over the top evenly and pour the chicken broth mixture as well. Sprinkle some more poultry seasoning and black pepper to taste, add a pinch of sage on top as well, then put in a preheated oven at 350 degrees, and let it bake for about 35 to 45 minutes. Remember not to stir it and leave it layered as is. If the dish is not done enough for you, broil it for about 3 to 5 minutes, then let it cool for about 20 minutes before serving. Enjoy it with some salad, mashed potato, vegetables, or whatever you like on the side.
