I bet we can all agree that fries are one of the best snacks ever and that you can serve them any time, in any flavor, and with any dipping sauce! There are a lot of ways that you can prepare them, but personally, I like fries that are cooked simply, and in small bite-sized cubes, just like this version by Cooking Beo’s on YouTube. Once you’ve tried this, you’ll surely never want fries made any other way, so learn how now, and enjoy this yummy snack.
Step 1
Peel off the skin of the potatoes, then wash them well, and pat them dry. Cut the potatoes into cubes, then add them to a saucepan, and fill it with water until covered. Place it on a stove over medium-high heat, then bring it to a boil, and cook it for about 10 minutes. Once done cooking, turn off the heat, then drain off all the water, and transfer them to a large bowl of cold or icy water. Let them soak for about 5 minutes, then drain off all the water, and let the potatoes dry.

Step 2
Transfer them to a plastic or Ziploc bag, then sprinkle the potatoes with cornstarch, close the bag, and shake it well until the potatoes are evenly coated. Preheat enough oil in a deep pan or deep fryer to 140°C or 284°F, then drop the coated potatoes in batches to not overcrowd the pan, and cook them for about 5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown making sure to flip them over constantly so that they cook evenly.
Step 3
Remove the cooked potatoes with a strainer and make sure to shake off all the excess oil, then place them in a large bowl, and cook the rest of the potatoes. Once done cooking, sprinkle some cheese powder all over them, then gently toss them all together until evenly coated, add some freshly chopped parsley, and mix well. Serve it along with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
