We can all agree that any garlic butter-flavored bread is absolutely yummy and I can probably eat them every day because they are that delicious. One of my favorite go-to recipes, when I want to bake garlic butter bread at home, is this one by 매일맛나 delicious day because it’s so easy and simple to follow. The bread is super soft and fluffy, plus, it is super cheesy and flavorful. You won’t be contented with just one bite when you taste this for sure!

Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg, then reserve 1 tablespoon later, and set it aside for later (you can also skip reserving the egg and use everything instead). Add the sugar and instant yeast to the egg in the large bowl, then whisk them together until incorporated, add the bread flour, salt, and warm milk, and continue to mix and knead them together until the sticky dough starts to form. Allow it to rest for about 10 minutes, then transfer the dough to a Silpat, add the butter, press it in, and knead the dough until incorporated.

Step 2
Slap, stretch, and knead the dough for about 5 more minutes until smooth, then fold the edges to the inside and smoothen the dough into a ball. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then put it in the preheated oven, and allow it to cook at 30°C or 86°F for about 1 hour. In a separate bowl, add the reserved egg, sugar, mayonnaise, and chopped green onions, then stir them all together until well combined, add the minced garlic, and continue to mix until incorporated.
Step 3
Once the dough is done baking, gently press it down to release the gas, then make criss-cross cuts all over the top of the dough as shown in the video, and spread the garlic butter sauce all over the top evenly making sure to put some in the gaps as well. Gather an ample amount of cheese, then press them together into a block, put them in between each gap, and press it down. Put it back in the oven, then allow it to bake at 170°C or 338°F for about 15 minutes depending on your oven, and then serve. Enjoy!
