Wash the carrots thoroughly, then put them in a deep and large pan, cut up the butter into small slices, and add them to the pan as well. Add and sprinkle about half to a whole cup of sugar, then generously add some cinnamon powder as well, add a small drop of vanilla extract, and sprinkle a pinch of salt. Place the pan on a stove, then cover it with the lid, and bring it to a simmer over high heat for about 15 minutes making sure to stir every now and then to incorporate the cinnamon evenly. Put the lid back on after stirring, then let it cook for 10 more minutes or until thickened, and then give it a good stir. Let them cook for a few more minutes until sticky and most of the sauce has reduced, then turn off the heat, and transfer to a serving dish. Serve and enjoy!
