Step 1
Build a wood fire about as wide as your cooking grate, then let it burn to low flames and embers, this will take about 1 to 1½ hours. Clear fire from directly beneath a section of the cooking grate to make an area big enough for 6 cones. Put 3 marshmallows in a sugar cone, then put 2 or 3 quartered strawberries, 2 chunks of chocolate, and 3 more marshmallows, and then place the cone in a mug to hold it while filling the rest of the cones.
Step 2
Cut a piece of heavy-duty foil at 12 inches, then lay it flat on your work surface, and place the cone on top facing a corner. Fold the corner over the top of the cone, then fold the bottom corner over the tip of the cone, and pat down the foil around the sides. Roll the cone over to enclose, then seal it nicely, and repeat the same steps for the remaining cones.
Step 3
Place the cones on the cleared part of the cooking grate near the fire, then warm them for about 3 to 4 minutes or until the fillings are softened, and use tongs to turn them over consistently. Carefully remove the foil, put in more strawberry slices, and sprinkle some almonds. Serve warm and enjoy!
