I was looking for a great pasta dish that I can try to cook and share with my family during dinnertime, and there were a lot of options that I found on the internet, but one recipe that stood out to me the most is this one by Whip It Up With Jay on Youtube. It looks incredibly mouth-watering and it’s super easy to make, too, I immediately tried it at home and served it to the table, and my family loved it so much that they couldn’t stop eating it.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of pasta
  • Andouille sausage, sliced
  • 1 tbsp of garlic, minced
  • Grape tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup of white cooking wine
  • 1 stick of butter, unsalted
  • ½ tsp of onion powder
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp of paprika
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • ¼ tsp of crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 16 ounces of shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail removed
  • Freshly chopped parsley
  • Grated cheese, any kind, for garnish, optional

Directions:

Step 1

Fill a pot with water, then sprinkle it with a pinch of salt, and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the pasta, then cook it until al dente, and drain off all the water before setting it aside. Next, place a skillet pan on a stove over medium to medium-high heat, then heat up the oil, and add the sliced sausage. Toss and cook them until nice and brow, then once cooked through, remove them from the pan, and set them aside for later.

Step 2

In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sliced grape tomatoes, then toss them, and cook them for about 2 minutes or so. Pour the white cooking wine, then crush the tomatoes, and add the unsalted butter. Allow the butter to melt, then season them with onion powder, ground black pepper, paprika, salt, crushed red pepper flakes, and lemon pepper seasoning.

Step 3

Give them a good stir, then scrape the bottom nicely, add the shrimp, and mix them to combine. Let the shrimp cook for about 4 minutes or so, then put the cooked sausage back into the pan, and mix them until well combined. Add the cooked and drained pasta to the pan, then toss them nicely until well mixed, then sprinkle the chopped parsley, and give them a final good mix. Top it with cheese if desired, then serve, and enjoy!
