Ingredients:

For cajun seasoning:

  • 1 tbsp mild paprika
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 – 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

For steak:

  • 23 oz (650g) steak (cut into 2-inch cubes – sirloin, rump, new york strip, porterhouse, or ribeye)
  • 1 – 2 tbsp canola oil (divided)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)

Directions:

Step 1

In a medium bowl, add 1 tbsp mild paprika, 1 & 1/2 tsp salt, 1 & 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 3/4 tsp dried thyme, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1/2 tsp brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cayenne powder, and 1/4 tsp ground black pepper. Mix well to combine the spices. Next, get the steak (of your choice) and chop it into bite-size pieces. Transfer the chopped steak to the bowl of the spice mixture. Mix well to fully coat the steak with the seasonings.

Step 2

In a skillet, add 1 – 2 tbsp of canola oil, then add the steak bites. Cook both sides until brown. After this, take out the steak bites and add 1/4 cup butter to the same skillet. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic. Cook it until the garlic turns brown. Next, add the steak bites, mix them to be fully combined with the butter and garlic, then sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley. Serve.
