Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
  • 1 lb cremini or button mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Step 1

Add 4 tbsp unsalted butter and 1 tbsp olive oil to a pan over medium-high heat. Once the butter melted, add the chopped onion and saute until softened. Next, add the mushrooms and cook them for about 4 to 5 minutes until they are golden and crispy on the edges.

Step 2

When the mushrooms are cooked, add 2 tbsp dry white wine and cook for 2 minutes. After it is reduced a bit, add 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves, and 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley. Mix to combine, then stir in the minced garlic. Cook for another 30 seconds or so until fragrant. After this, season with salt and pepper to taste and garnish with the remaining chopped parsley.
