Beginner-Friendly Box Spring Quilt Tutorial

This nice quilt block is made up of big blocks with a cute bow-like shape at the center, this is perfect to showcase your favorite fabric prints and colors, and it’s super easy to piece together. You can finish making a block with just a few simple steps in as fast as 10 minutes!

Materials for Box Spring Quilt Block:

• Main fabric, solid colored or print
• Light-colored fabric, printed or plain
• Ruler
• Marking pen, pencil, or chalk
• Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
• Needle and thread
• Iron, for pressing
• Sewing machine

How to Make a Box Spring Quilt Block:

Step 1

Download and print the pattern, then cut out the template pieces, and cut the fabrics as instructed. Place the template on top of one end of the colored strip, then cut it out, and do the same to the other side. Cut the light fabric into a triangle, then fold them in half, and press the middle with your hands.

Step 2

Place the triangle on top of the colored fabric, then make sure that their right sides are facing and the point of the triangle is facing downward as shown in the video. Stitch them together on their straight edge, then press the seams nicely, and make another identical piece.

Step 3

Once done, cut a colored triangle the same size as the pieced triangle, then assemble them into a block as demonstrated in the video, and stitch them by pair and then the pairs to each other pressing the seams as you go.
