I find the pattern of this quilt block very beautiful and I also the fact that you can use and combine any print or color of fabric that you want. This would be the perfect activity to pass the time, too, so if you are looking for something to keep you busy, then check out this video tutorial.
Step 1
Get a light blue and white fabric, then stack them together with their right sides facing, and stitch them on all sides with ¼ inch seam allowance. Cut it apart diagonally from both directions, press them open, and trim each half-square triangle to 2.5 inches.
Step 2
Repeat them with 2 more squares and make 8 half-square triangles in total, then set them aside. Get a white and navy blue fabric, then stack them together with their right sides facing, and stitch on all sides with ¼ inch seam allowance.
Step 3
Cut it diagonally from both corners, then press them open, and trim each half-square triangle to 2.5 inches. Repeat with 3 more sets to make a total of 16 half-square triangles, then assemble everything as shown in the video tutorial, and start stitching them together making sure to press as you go.
