How to make your cake stay flat when baking
Soak a dishtowel in a bowl filled with water, then wring it well, and wrap it around the pan before baking. Secure the towel with safety pins, then proceed to bake, and you’ll see that the cake will stay mostly flat all throughout compared to baking without a wet dishtowel wrapped around the pan.
Alternative cupcake liners
Lay a piece of parchment paper on top of your cupcake mold, then press it down hard while twisting using a glass, lift the glass out, and leave the parchment paper to use it a cupcake liner. Fill them with batter, then bake, and peel off the paper once done.

How to cut through a cake evenly
Measure the height of the cake and mark where the half point is using a toothpick, and then proceed to do the same process all around the cake. Grab a long piece of dental floss, then wrap it around the cake, twist, and pull until you’ve squeezed out the floss from the cake. Enjoy a neatly cut cake with this hack!
How to cut parchment paper evenly for round pans
Fold the parchment paper in half, then fold it again half to make a square, and pivot so that the folded corner is at the top. Fold the side over toward the opposite side to create a triangle shape, then lay it at the center of the pan, and measure where it ends at the side of the pan. Cut off the excess paper, then open it up, and lay it at the bottom of the pan nicely.
