The ingredients you need to make baked chicken wings are mostly pantry staples. You will need baking powder, ground black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, chicken wings, and salted butter. No special ingredients are required.
These chicken wings are incredibly moist even though they are baked. They are also packed with flavors and perfectly tender. Serve it with potato wedges, coleslaw, veggies and dip, and corn salad.
Start by preheating your oven to 425F, then greasing a large-rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, add the baking powder, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Pat dry the chicken wings then add to the same bowl as the seasonings. Toss to coat. Spread the wings into the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
Place the sheet inside the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature reads 165F. Once done baking, remove from the oven and let the chicken cool for 10 minutes.
Transfer the baked wings to a large mixing bowl. Make sure to reserve the drippings.
In a small mixing bowl, add the melted butter and reserved drippings. Whisk to combine then pour over the chicken wings. Toss to coat. Serve immediately and enjoy!
