Ingredients:

  • 1 head of cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 large carrots, finely shredded
  • 3 tbsp of onion, finely chopped
  • 2/3 cup of raisins
  • 1 large apple, finely chopped
  • 2/3 cup of chopped walnuts, toasted

Dressing

  • ½ cup of mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cup of sour cream
  • 1/3 cup of honey
  • 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of celery seed
  • ¾ cup of chopped walnuts, optional

Directions:

Step 1

Place a skillet pan on a stove over medium heat, then add the chopped walnuts, and toast them for about 5 minutes making sure to give them a good stir occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat and set it aside for later. In a large mixing bowl, add the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped apples, raisins, and toasted walnuts, then toss them all together until well combined, and set it aside.

Step 2

In a separate medium-sized mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, sour cream, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, celery seeds, and chopped walnuts, then give them a good mix until well combined and smooth. Pour the dressing mixture over the cabbage mixture into the large mixing bowl, then give them a good toss until incorporated and well combined, and let it chill in the refrigerator. Serve and enjoy!
