We love apple crumble, and I always make time every month to make and serve it to my family. These days, my go-to recipe for this divine dessert is from Bincy Chris on Youtube. I have tried a lot of apple crumble recipes through the years, and I can confidently say that this is the best I have ever tasted. You can either serve this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some custard cream. We personally prefer the custard cream as it compliments the apples so well; it feels like it’s melting in your mouth. My family really loves this recipe, and I’m sure yours, too! Watch the video below to learn how to make this.

Ingredients:

For the apple filling:

  • 6 – 7 apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp corn flour (or plain flour)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the topping:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Step 1

Prepare the apple filling. Peel, core, and dice your apples into pieces. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, and 2 tbsp corn flour. Mix well, making sure the apples are well coated. Set aside.

Step 2

Prepare the crumble topping. Combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix well. Next, add 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Continue to mix until well combined.

Step 3

Pour the apple mixture into your baking dish, then the crumble topping over the apples, spreading it nicely and evenly. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven at 375 degrees F and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. After baking, let it sit for five minutes to let it cool down and set, then serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or custard cream.
