Summer is the time for vacations, beach outings, or cookouts, but what I look forward to the most during this season is the drinks and food that I get to try. One of my all-time favorites is this one by Cooking With Claudia on YouTube because it is so easy, simple, and quick to make that you can probably prepare this every day. Plus, you can serve this at any time of the day, too, whether it’s for a party you are hosting or just an ordinary mealtime with the family.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of very hot water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled, and cut in half
  • 6 whole lemons, juiced
  • 6 cups of cold water
  • Ice, for serving

Additional

  • Strawberry slices, for garnish
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Directions:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add very hot water and sugar, then stir them together until the sugar has completely dissolved, and set it aside for later. Remove the top of each strawberries, then cut them in half, and place them in a food processor or blender. Blend them until it turns into a smoothie consistency, then pour them into a large pitcher, cut the lemons in half, and squeeze them over the pitcher.

Step 2

Now, add the prepared syrup to the pitcher, then give them a good stir until combined and incorporated, and pour in the cold water. Continue to stir them together to combine, then grab a glass and fill it with some ice, and pour the juice into the glass. Garnish it with more strawberry and lemon, then serve, and enjoy!
