These easy and quick lemon stick cookies by Готовим с Татьяной are now my favorite treats. I baked them last weekend, and my house smelled really good. Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups of flour
- 2/3 cup of sugar (plus more for sprinkling)
- 3/4 cup of butter (softened)
- 2 eggs
- lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 3/4 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
- a pinch of salt

Instructions
Step 1:
Add 3/4 cup of butter, 2/3 cup of sugar, 1 3/4 teaspoons of vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix until well combined.
Step 2:
Separate the yolk and white of one egg. Add the yolk to the mixture, followed by one egg. Whisk until well incorporated.
Step 3:
Mix in some lemon zest to the mixture. Adjust the amount depending on your preference. Next, add 1 teaspoon of baking powder, then gradually add 2 3/4 cups of flour, mixing after every addition until a dough forms.
Step 4:
Get a small pinch of the dough and roll it until it’s about 4.9 inches long. Coat it with sugar and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining dough. Make sure they are well-spaced, as they will expand a bit later on.
Step 5:
Place inside the oven and bake at 356 Fahrenheit for about 12 to 15 minutes or until slightly browned on the edges.
Step 6:
Once done baking, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool for a while. Serve and enjoy!
