Step 1

In a blender or food processor, add the half-and-half or whole milk, then sieve over the all-purpose flour, and add the sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and egg. Blend them over low speed for about 10 seconds making sure not to overmix, then preheat your air fryer to 400°F, and put the butter on a 6-inch oven-safe dish.

Step 2

Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper, then place the baking dish in the hot basket without the tray, and heat the butter for about 2 minutes or until melted and bubbly. Take the dish out of the basket leaving the air fryer on, then pour the batter evenly over the hot butter, and cook it for about 7 minutes or until the edges are puffed and golden brown, make sure it’s cooked through without burning the edges.

Step 3

Allow it to cool for a few minutes before removing the basket, then gently squeeze a lemon wedge over the warm Dutch baby to release its bright and citrusy flavor, and generously dust with powdered sugar. You can also top it with fresh berries of your choice, then serve, and enjoy!
