I have these clear vases at home that I want to decorate this Valentine’s day. I was thinking of painting them red and drawing some designs, then adding fake roses for a complete look. But then I saw this easy 3D heart origami tutorial by fingers360 on Youtube and decided to fill each one with this instead. I bet the vases will look cute with red, white, and pink hearts! Plus, I can still add the flowers that I want. If you want to learn how to make this, keep on reading.
Cut the red color paper into 2.8 by 2.8 inches square.
Fold it in half and finger-press it to make a crease.
Open it and fold it 1/8 inch on the bottom. Next, fold it in half crosswise. The folded part should be on the bottom.
Take the right top corner and fold it towards the bottom to make a triangle. Do the same on the other corner.

Fold the inside triangle flap in half to make a little triangle. Repeat on the other side.
Open the smaller triangle, then take the tip and fold it towards the center. Do the same on the other side, making a diamond-shaped paper.
Take the corner of the bottom fold and insert it on the folded tip. Do the same on the other side.
Fold the right top and middle corners. Repeat for the left side to make a heart shape.
Blow on the bottom tip of the heart origami. Using your left hand, cover the bottom with your thumb while your index finger is on the top corner. On the other hand, your thumb should be supporting the bottom, and use your index finger to press the top to make it into a heart shape.
