This eye-catching quilt is the perfect piece to bring the beauty of the outside into your home! Pick your choice of floral, cotton prints in a variety of colors and they’ll be the perfect for accenting the fun tulip shapes on the quilt design!
I love how sweet this Dutch Tulips quilt is and it not only makes me think of the real tulips, but I also think of daffodils, buttercups and all the beautiful flowers we’ll see popping up all over.
When I first saw this quilt design it reminded me of the quilts my Grandmother was making when I was a little girl, along with the bonnet girl quilt, which I think was called Little Dutch Girl!
Perhaps that’s why I was so drawn to this. If you don’t want to make a whole quilt, I saw an oblong pillow made with this quilt block on Pinterest and really loved it.
You can actually raid your stash of scraps to make this beautiful quilt…that’s what I did! I had lots of beautiful pastel floral prints.
Kimberly Jolly of Fat Quarter Shop shows us all her quilting tips and tricks to make this beautiful bouquet of a quilt. Dutch Tulip is an “It’s Sew Emma” pattern that uses Orange Peel Impressions to applique a flower that looks great with solids, but you can always kick it up with floral prints.
