This Doritos lasagna recipe by Timmy Timato on YouTube is an iconic recipe with layers of cheese, ground beef, tortillas, and chips. The layers of this lasagna are packed, and I love the idea of using flour tortillas as the “pasta.” It looks so good when the lasagna is cut and you can see each level inside of the dish. It’s an inexpensive meal to make that will give you leftovers for the week. This is a good recipe for those that love Doritos chips, and it’s unique. I would be interested in making this meal because it’s simple and has every ingredient that I like. However, I would add tomato sauce and salsa because I love my lasagna extra saucy.

Ingredients:

  • Doritos chips (any kind but Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch in this recipe)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup water
  • taco seasoning
  • flour tortillas
  • salsa

Directions:

First, take the cool ranch Doritos and crunch them up in a plastic bag, then set them aside. Cook the ground beef on the stovetop until brown. Drain any excess fat. Add water and taco seasoning. Prepare a baking dish and place tortillas on the bottom of the pan to serve as a crust. Continue to watch Timmy Timato tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.

Next, layer the lasagna with flour tortillas, salsa, crunched Doritos, ground beef, cheddar cheese, and repeat the process. Top it off with the whole Doritos and cheese. Bake in the oven until everything is cooked.

Note: this recipe does not have the baking temperature or time, but I would bake it at 375F for about 15 minutes with foil on top so the Doritos on top does not burn. I’m sure this has a strong Doritos flavor because of the crushed up chips in between.
