When I decided to redo my bathroom, I really did not think I was biting off me than I could chew, but halfway through my planned remodel I had to stop and reassess my goals. I decided to abandon my whole theme of modern cabinetry and just do really simple open-air shelving. To make this look really work, I knew I had to have some cute DIY containers to store and display my cotton buds, cotton wool, and cotton pads in. I found this wonderful DIY painted mason jar farmhouse cotton holder idea by, Kelly Barlow, on YouTube, and I knew I would be off to a perfect start with this simple project.

To begin you wipe your mason jars down with alcohol and then paint the jars with Valspar sample paint that can be fount at Lowes Home Improvement Store.
Then, you just tie your jars together with the twine.
These bathroom canister jars turned out so cute, they look amazing in my bathroom! The fact that I could use Valspar paint samples was really cool too, what a great idea!
