I have been on a journey to find a more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly way to clean my home. When I came across this video by Torera George I jumped at the opportunity to try these. Using a toilet bomb just sounded so much easier than cleaning my toilet in. traditional method, and turns out, it is. These toilet bombs make the bathroom cleaning process so much quicker because all I have to do is place the bomb in the toilet and scrub around using the suds the soap creates.

Materials Needed For This DIY:

  • Baking Soda
  • Citric Acid
  • Dish Soap

Directions:

Step One

Combine the baking soda and the citric acid into a bowl and mix them together. The combination of baking soda and citric said is what will make the combination fizz.

Step Two

Add one teaspoon of dish soap to the mixture. The dish soap is what will bind the powder forms of baking soda and citric acid together. You can also add in some essential oils to add a scene to the toilet bombs.

Step Three

Use your hands to mix the dish soap into the powder until you feel it clump up and it forms in your hand. IF it doesn’t clump up, add more dish soap into the mold.

Step Four

Pack the mixture into the mold, then press down on the mold. Be sure to press it into the mold so it will stay together. Leave it to dry in the mold for 24 hours. Pack Down The Mold For DIY Toilet Bombs - Cleaning Hacks

Step Five

Once they are dry, you can go ahead and place one into the toilet and get to cleaning. Use a toilet brush to scrub the soap around the inside of the toilet and get the toilet bowl clean. The toilet bomb should naturally start to create bubbles.
