These Penguin Ornaments are all the rage, they are taking Youtube by storm and everyone is getting a wonderful lesson in recycling! So do not, I repeat, Do Not throw out those old styrofoam balls! because it’s a win-win situation with these infamous high-class Arctic Birds! All you need to make these penguin projects are some styrofoam balls from Michael’s Craft Store and some craft paint (in black, white, orange, and red), and I used small felt hearts from Michael’s Craft Store, but you could use cardboard cut out hearts, they would work fine for the feet of the penguins. I also got some ribbon, some googly eyes, a little a red glass pin to make beaks, some red pom-poms, and my trusty glue gun of course. That glue gun is the most valuable thing to a crafter, once you get your first one, you will never live without one! I started this project by cutting the ends off my styrofoam balls to make for easy stacking and then stuck them together with my trusty glue gun and then started painting their gorgeous features.

Then I put a red glass pin on the face for his beak, cut some little wings out of black paper, and used the tiny felt hearts for the feet of my sweet little penguin.

I made so many of these I had the entire family trailing across the mantle, all sizes of penguins, they looked adorable. I highly recommend this project.

Since I lover experiments, Iโ€™ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
